Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PICKED — Party Games ("PICKED", "the App", "we") handles data related to your use of the App. PICKED is designed to work without requiring registration, login, or the submission of personal data — most of this policy, in practice, describes the data Google AdMob collects to serve ads, rather than data we collect directly. We recommend reading this alongside our Terms of Use.
1. Introduction
PICKED is a local party game played by multiple players on the same device, requiring no account, login, or mandatory internet connection. As a direct consequence of this design, we do not collect, store, or process players' personal data on our own servers — we do not operate any backend for the App. The data described in this policy is, for the most part, collected by Google AdMob to enable the advertising that keeps the App free.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
PICKED does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, photo, contacts, precise location, or any other personally identifiable data to function. There is no registration, login, user account, or profile tied to an individual within the App.
3. Local Storage on Your Device
User preferences — selected language, whether music and sound effects are enabled, volume levels, and internal usage counters (such as how many rounds have been played, used only to decide when to show an ad) — are stored locally on the device using a local storage mechanism (MMKV). This data never leaves the device, is not sent to us or to any third party, and is automatically erased when the App is uninstalled.
4. Advertising and Data Collected by Google AdMob
PICKED displays banner and interstitial ads through Google AdMob. To provide this service, AdMob and its advertising partners may automatically collect data such as: the device's advertising identifier, device information (model, operating system, language), IP address (used for approximate location, such as country/region), ad interaction data (impressions, clicks), and performance diagnostic information. We do not have direct access to this data on an individualized basis — it is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and the AdMob Data Privacy and Security Policy.
5. Advertising Consent (UMP)
For users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we display a Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form before requesting personalized ads, in accordance with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework and applicable data protection regulations. Without consent, the App continues to work normally, but only displays non-personalized ads. You can review or change your choice at any time through the "Ad Privacy" link available on the App's Settings screen.
6. Advertising Identifier and Your Choices
You can limit or reset your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID) directly in your operating system's privacy settings, which reduces ad personalization across all apps, including PICKED. These settings are outside of our direct control and are managed by your device manufacturer or by Google.
7. Usage Analytics
The App may log aggregated, anonymous usage events (for example, which game mode was selected, how many rounds were completed) to help us understand how PICKED is used and prioritize improvements. These events do not include your name, email, account identifiers, or any data that could identify a specific person.
8. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable (for example, for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland), processing of data for personalized ads is based on your consent, obtained through the UMP form described in Section 5. For non-personalized ads and for the App's basic operation, processing is based on our legitimate interest in keeping PICKED available for free through advertising.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. The only data sharing related to PICKED occurs between the User's device and Google, in the context of ad serving through Google AdMob, as described in Section 4. We do not share data with any other third party beyond what is necessary for the advertising service to function.
10. International Data Transfers
Data processed by Google AdMob may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States, subject to Google's own contractual safeguards and compliance mechanisms for international data transfers (such as standard contractual clauses).
11. Children's Privacy
PICKED is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Some game modes may contain content more suitable for teens or adults, as described in Section 3 of the Terms of Use. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us at the email address in Section 16 so we can look into it.
12. Your Rights (GDPR, LGPD, CCPA and Equivalent Laws)
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to the processing of personal data, provided for under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), or equivalent laws. Since we do not maintain our own database of identifiable users, most of these rights, where they concern advertising data, should be exercised directly with Google, through the Google Privacy & Personalization Center. For any question about this policy, you can also contact us at the email address in Section 16.
13. Data Retention
Data stored locally on the device (Section 3) remains until the User manually erases it or uninstalls the App. Data processed by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention policies, outside of our control.
14. Security
Since PICKED does not operate its own backend or store personal data on our servers, the main data-security risks related to the App concern Google AdMob's infrastructure, which maintains its own information security practices. Nonetheless, we follow recommended secure development practices when building the App.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the App or to applicable law. The current version will always be made available with the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
